The scoring system is: 0=15, 2=30, 3=40 and then the game is won. If the score is 40-40, it is called deuce. Then the scoring is Advantage then if the next point is won, the game is one. In order to win a set, you must win 6 games or win by 2....7-5. The boundaries of the court are easily recognizable. The vertical line on the inside are for singles play and the outside for doubles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SHOTS: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ O button: First serve, flat stroke when hit as a backhand, a strong volley when hit as a forehand. X button: Second serve, Slice on backhand and weak volley on forehand. /\ button: Top spin on backhand and forehand. [] button: Lob. Speciality Shots: Drop Shot: Press down and x to get a drop shot. Top Spin Lob: Press [] and R1 in order to achieve this shot. Slice Lob: [] and L1 at the same time. When at the net: O: The best spike possible. X: Safe and trusty. /\: Top Spin, stick with O. []: Lob Volley...Sends it high! If you get your timing perfect, any button can smash the ball. Serves: X and R1: Spin Serve: Very tricky! He isn't the best choice though. Van Bek: Who knows?? He's the easiest to beat in 1 player mode. Bradt: All around great! Timbel: Pretty fast, she's no Bradt though. Livitz: Average. Recchio: Completely balanced. Von Bue: You got to pick her! She makes hilarious noises. Mills: Also all around. Courts: Grass: Looks good, doesn't bounce to well. Cement: Good bounce. Clay: Weird bounce. Carpet: Like cement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ STRATEGIES: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) After serving, run to the net and volley to the opposite side. Works almost every time! 2) After returning a serve, do the same as 1). 3) Constantly hit from left to right to get your opponent moving! 4) When serving: Go to the extremity of the screen and drill it to the opposite side. Almost always an ace! Similar to super tennis. 5) Keep changing up your shots...Basically, don't use the same shot over and over. 6) Lobs aren't very useful. Hard to control. 7) Don't be afraid to go to the net. 8) And lastly: Do what the pros would do, this game is realistic. If it works on tv, it works here. Also, don't expect to clean up in the tournaments. The opponents are much tougher. TONKIN, except the password is holding L1, R2, UP AND RECTANGLE AT THE SAME TIME, but do not release it, then press O. Using the serve strategy, it is possible to ace every serve! Side Note: My fastest serve was 218 km/ph with Hong...Can it go higher?? PS. I haven't gotten this to work so chances are that it's bogus.
